At 4 bar this is the most powerful pump in the Equinox positive head range, and it offers a maximum head of 40 metres — the reason to choose it over the 3 bar is usually height or distance rather than raw power. Long pipe runs, a pump feeding multiple outlets, a body jet or rainfall shower system, or a bathroom several floors below the tank all eat into available pressure, and 4 bar keeps performance strong where a smaller pump would struggle. For a single standard shower in a typical two-storey house, the 3 bar is usually sufficient.
