Joule Cyclone Direct Cylinder TCIMVD-0250NFC – 250L Stainless Steel Cylinder

The Joule Cyclone TCIMVD-0250NFC is a 250-litre direct hot water cylinder. A direct cylinder has no boiler coil — the water is heated electrically by immersion instead — which makes it the natural choice for properties with no boiler or gas connection, apartments, extensions and all-electric homes. At 250 litres it suits a busier household than the 200L, or one where the heating runs mostly on off-peak electricity and a larger overnight store makes sense.

Electric heating rewards a bigger cylinder more than boiler heating does, because the whole point is banking cheap energy overnight and drawing on it through the day. The same logic applies to a solar PV diverter: surplus generation goes into hot water instead of being exported, and a larger store captures more of it on a sunny day.

The cylinder is made from duplex stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance, with insulation by means of an approved CFC/HCFC free polyurethane foam with an ozone depletion factor of zero. Cyclone cylinders feature a bevelled stat pocket for better fitting and pre plugged secondary tapping for ease of installation, all concealed within a metallic grey, premium appearance casing, using duplex stainless steel body with 316L grade stainless fittings. The metallic grey finish is a signature of the range.
