The Joule Cyclone TCIMVD-0200NFC is a 200-litre direct hot water cylinder. Unlike an indirect model, a direct cylinder has no boiler coil — the water is heated electrically instead, which makes it the right choice for homes with no boiler, apartments, extensions, and properties running fully on electric heating.

This model is supplied with two immersion heaters, a genuinely useful arrangement rather than a spec-sheet detail. The lower element heats the full cylinder on cheaper night rate electricity, while the upper element can reheat just the top portion for a quick top-up during the day — so you are not paying to heat 200 litres for one shower. That twin element setup also pairs well with a solar PV diverter, sending surplus generation into the cylinder instead of exporting it.

The cylinder is made from duplex stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance, with insulation by means of an approved CFC/HCFC free polyurethane foam with an ozone depletion factor of zero. Compression connections are fitted as standard, with a bevelled stat pocket for better thermostat fitting, pre-plugged secondary tapping for ease of installation and clearly labelled connections throughout. The Cyclone's attractive grey finish uses no cheap plastic on the outer casing.
