Magnetic Lever Strainer Pump Valve 1 1/2" x 1" (20360)

This pump valve does three jobs in the space of one fitting: it isolates, it strains and it captures magnetic sludge. Fitted on the suction side of a circulating pump, it stops the debris that circulates in every heating system from reaching the pump in the first place.

The magnet attracts the black iron oxide sludge that builds up from corrosion inside radiators and steel pipework — the material that wears pump bearings and eventually seizes them. The stainless steel strainer catches everything the magnet cannot, including jointing compound, flux residue, scale and grit left over from installation. Ball valves with strainer and magnet are engineered not only to control the flow of fluids but also to strain out impurities, debris and particles, and are commonly used where maintaining a clean system matters.
