Oxypic works to keep the heating system at maximum efficiency year after year, it works against corrosion, scale, oxide sludge and expels air from the water as it circulates, all this from the one additive. Oxypic also continues to circulate in the water to seal further potential leaks. Its magic, no need to worry which of several complex additives to use. Use Oxypic for the lot. It also conforms to BS1486:1978 and BS7593:1992.
Oxypic should be used on all new heating installations when filling up for the last time to ensure permanent automatic sealing of any undetected small leak. Leave Oxypic in the system to make it leak proof, rust proof, scale proof. It has no adverse effects on the system and gives a protective coat to all internal parts, to guard against rust and build up of oxide sludge.
Oxypic is black/brown in colour derived from a blend of alkalis, tannins, polymers and mineral formula. It may look better if it were lighter in colour, but it would not be as efficient. Once in the heating system you cannot see the colour of it and it works better.
Oxypic seals leaks in all metal boilers and pipework including threaded joints, it must be understood however that the metal itself must be of sufficient substance for the Oxypic to make the repair. It will therefore not repair leaks in boilers or pipework worn thin with age.
Oxypic will also seal leaks on plastic pipework according to tests made over a reasonable period of time. However we cannot yet give an unconditional guarantee on plastic pipe work. If you do have a problem on plastic pipework please contact.

Oxypic is non-toxic. In case of contact with skin or eyes wash thoroughly with water. Do not swallow, if swallowed rinse mouth well see doctor. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Oxypic is NOT RECOMMENDED for use in direct (draw off) hot water systems, or systems where a self priming cylinder is used. Where domestic hot water is taken from the system this should be through an indirect cylinder. Oxypic - a leak stopped by Oxypic is tough. It will withstand a pressure of approximately 3500KN/m or 35 bar (500 P.S.I) furthermore Oxypic expands or contracts with the metal, to ensure a sound seal throughout the heating cycle.
How to use: Open vented systems - stop flow of water into supply tank. Drain the system until the feed tank is empty and about a further 5 litres (1 gal) of water has been removed seal drain point, shake Oxypic vigorously pour Oxypic into feed tank, ensure bottle is empty by filling with water and a good shake, pour contents into tank. Let the Oxypic drain into the system, open flow into tank and operate normally with boiler turned on at normal temperature, keep system operating for approximately 8 to 10 hours, pump running normally.
Sealed systems: Isolate a radiator, cover the floor below and round the radiator, remove two litres of wa-ter by breaking the connections, re-make the bottom connections, remove top plug in radiator and pour Oxypic into the radiator by funnel and pliable pipe, remake the connections, bleed the radiator of air. Up to 30KW (100,000 BTU/hr).....................................1/2 Litre
30Kw to 60KW (200,000 BTU/hr).....................................1 Litre
60Kw to 1200KW (400,000 BTU/hr)..................................2 Litre
Add a further 1 Lire per 60KW (200,000 BTU/hr)
Use the following quantities for stopping leaks throughout a water heating apparatus:
Up to 20m2 (220 Sq.ft).....................................1/2 Litre
From 20m2 (220 Sq.ft) to 40m2 (440 Sq.ft)............1 Litre
From 40m2 (440 Sq.ft) to 80m2 (880 Sq.ft)............2 Litre
Add a further 1 Lire per 40m2 (440 Sq.ft)
Steam Boilers.
Up to 82KW (240 lbs/hr)........................................1 Litre
82KW to 164KW (480 lbs/hr)...................................2 Litres
164Kw to 246KW (720 lbs/hr)...................................3 Litres
Add a further 1 Litre per 82KW (240 lbs/hr
